Debi's 'author experience' in schools is very popular with KS2  in assembly format, visually enhanced by a Power Point presentation. Debi explains the ideas behind the stories; history woven with fantasy, and narrates extracts from the series as well as providing plenty of food for thought for enquiring minds. Time is allocated for individual questions from children.

The aim is to encourage creative writing, share the authors love of history and promote reading with given writing tips and leaving teachers with follow up ideas based on the books.

Signed and dedicated books will always be available for purchase on the day and after the visit via school.

Aside from the above assembly style presentation, I can work with small groups or classes to stimulate the imaginative writing of stories. Local funding may be available for this enrichment. Schools should enquire of their local authorities who may be aware of such 'trusts'.
